Rooted in water: the constellation for growth

The Helios Constellation allows you to stylishly grow your cuttings, bulbs and pits into a water-rooted plant.

Enjoy the growing plant in full: both the sprouting leaves as well as the growing root-system under water.

The brass Helios disks fit vases and jars with diameters ranging from 5,5 to 8 cm (2.15 - 3.12 inch).
In the center of each disk is a star-shaped opening that can be customized to fit a variety of cuttings, seeds, bulbs and pits by folding the perforated lines.

Helios is the ancient Greek god of the sun who rode his chariot through the sky and made sure the sun would come up again every day.

Helios was often worshipped for the creative power of the sun that is the source for growth and life.

Experiment & Grow

We love the seeds of the avocado and the gorgeous roots and leaves they grow. Yet there are many more pits, bulbs, seeds and cuttings you can successfully grow on water.
Even some cacti and succulents are happy to be growing water roots.

Helios Constellation: A promise kept & a full circle

This Helios Constellation might be the latest addition to the Flower Constellation family, its idea is actually what started it all.

Years ago we designed a pit-frame that would fit a variaty of jars and glassware, and would make it easy to sprout pits and bulbs.

Out of our hands, the idea got shelved by the large Dutch Gardencentre company that took to it at first.
After a year of no action or payment, the design was officially off their table and back in our hands.

A few years passed and we focussed on Flowers first. But the design was never out of our heads and when we ran our Flower Constellation crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, we added a stretch goal: If we were to raise €8000,- or more, we would start developing the 'Propagation Constellation'.

And here it is, a promise kept, and a full circle: Helios Constellation.

Designed to last

The Flower Constellations are made from brass: an alloy of copper and sink.
Today, almost 90% of all brass alloys are recycled.

Brass has been historically used for musical and scientific instruments, where a combination of precision, high workability and durability is desired.

Brass has a relatively good resistance to corrosion, yet will develop a natural patina over time.
We love the tool-like wear, but if you don't, take out the rag: brass can easily be cleaned with copper polish or even ketchup (apparently)
