Thomas Linssen is a Design Academy graduate with a passion for materials, construction, and experimentation.
He is well-equipped to assist with technically challenging projects, thanks to his love for building prototypes, creating CAD designs, and making models as he works towards achieving the ultimate design. Thomas is responsible for pretty much anything in the studio that requires a hands-on approach, from installing shelves to crafting Patera Magna bowls. In addition to his work in the studio, Thomas taught at the Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam for eight years (until 2020), inspiring and guiding the next generation of designers. Thomas is a truly skilled maker who gets things done. Jana Flohr is a Dutch designer with a part Indonesian heritage and a passion for research, concept development, and graphic design. Initially, she studied Cultural Anthropology but switched to conceptual product design at the Utrecht School of the Arts for a more practical impact.
With her multicultural curiosity and experience in design facilitation, Jana is the go-to person for management, communication, sales, marketing, and all online activities at House of Thol. She is an experienced facilitator in the design world and is known for her excellent communication skills. If you're sending an email, you can expect Jana to be the one getting back to you. Jana recently received her design consultancy diploma and continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing learning. As an extension to her work for House of Thol, she teaches design thinking and creative entrepreneurship masterclasses.
